It’s been a long time since my last entry. My finals were pretty good, I got all A’s and B’s. In school, I changed my Math class and I had to switch my teacher for my English class. I am now a little bit more challenged in Math (Pre-Calculus, at the moment mainly Trigonometry), although my English class got a lot easier. In my actual class, the kids in are cussing around and behaving really bad. I did my first speech in that class about Henry Dunant, a Swiss businessman and social activist, and got rewarded with an A.

Last Saturday the Track Season started horribly; the times were totally not satisfying. I hope, that I will be able to improve myself this coming Thursday (Meet against Cabrillo and Lompoc [two other High schools]).

I've moved on (like planned) to my next Host family; they live in Solvang and have one Son (a sophomore). In addition I got accepted for RYLA the Rotary Youth Leadership Award Camp coming up in April.

Last Weekend, my Host family took me down to Santa Barbara. We took a tour of the city: we visited the Santa Barbara Mission (Picture), the Santa Barbara Courthouse, which I really liked, and went to eat in a good fish restaurant in the harbor.

In addition I had two Snowboard weekends last month, the first one was with all the other Exchange Students in Big Bear and the second one was with the Youth group Paradigm in Lake Tahoe. I really enjoyed both trips, but I miss the snow and slopes that I'm used to in Switzerland ;).

This weekend I visited the Nojoqui Falls which are close by my town.
